  • Overview

    The Inventory Auditor works with the Inventory Control Supervisor to control and audit the inventory flow through the building. This position must follow the plans made by the Inventory Control Supervisor on all tasks outlined in the outbound auditing process as well as perform inventory related tasks. Working with the WMS system they will they will perform pallet audits and track down inventory variances within the assigned distribution center. This position will work closely with the Outbound Supervisors, Inventory Control, Quality Control, and Distribution Center Managers and deliver best in class practices.

    Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

    • Needs to be forklift certified and re-certified every 3 years
    • Document and enter all outbound audit forms.
    • Breaking down pallets to audit for case pick accuracy
    • Performing counts on product causing exceptions during the outbound process.
    • Checking for proper rotation (FIFO) on all items in storage.
    • Verifying that all items are being stored in the proper temperature zone.
    • Record all damaged product and or poor quality product that are removed from the system.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities & Physical Requirements)

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • 1-2 years experience in logistics, inventory control, supply management.
    • Knowledge of various fruits and vegetables is desirable.
    • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to successfully manage concurrent projects, multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
    • Dependable and organized.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Applications.
    • Knowledge of WMS and /or ERP systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast pace environment and comply with strict time frames and deadlines.
    • Ability to travel 30-50%



    Physical Requirements

    • This position will work in a distribution center. Typically this environment is subject to:
    • Exposure to extreme temperature changes, moisture, noise, odors, and moving equipment.
    • Running forklifts or pallet jacks on occasion
    • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying up to 75 lbs.
